First Impression: The Timeline

Well I was wondering how Pottermore could tie into Fantastic Beasts.... I guess this is it.

Another New Poll

So, I was told that the Ravenclaw post wasn't exactly approved of among Ravenclaws (Still love you guys, but I wrote what I got, no quick-notes quill here!) So, I offered a sort of apology post a few weeks back, and thought I'd post this, asking which house, should be revisited, and I encourage you to post in the comments if you want to talk about your experiences in the house, with us posting the conversation here!

So, let me know if you want to share information about your house for any new sorts arriving, and for any others to let them know how amazing your house truly is!

What's Your Favorite Potion?

So, with 50 votes, the favorite potion of our readers turns out to be Antidote, beating out the newer additions and narrowly eeking out victory over cure for boils! So for our next poll, we're takling something a bit tougher. What was the best addition made to pottermore thus far. We're going back from beta, to look at which changes were for the better, and next time, which was for the worst. So here's for next month's results!

So, what's your favorite potion? Add it in the comments for this post!

Points Update!

We're off to a wonderful start here with House Cup 8, and here's a quick tracking of house points as of yesterday. So for the first few days, the lead shifted from snake to badger, with the snakes slowly distancing themselves out, with hiccups in between. This certainly doesn't look like an exact repeat of the last cup, but one thing is for certain, that the fight at the top will be much harsher than in years past.

Check with us every now and then as we post a new chart, and help us with updates by posting on the post tracker. Thank you loyal posters!

Admirable Features: Pottermore's Artwork.

Say Hi to Pottermore's Slughorn!
I've said it before in my commentary on moments and I'll say it again. For the most part, the artwork is wonderful. The layering is well done, and it's usually a treat to see how the team puts together moments. So further discussion after the break

Slytherin For the Win!

So, Slytherin. My goodness. My house, my favorite house. The house of sooo many villains, moral greys and such horrible things in the books, it's hard to find much redeming light there. But not on Pottermore.

Badger, Badger, HUFFLEPUFF!

Oh poor, poor Hufflepuff. To be honest, this is one of my favorite houses, because of how well... shoddy it's treated. Just reading through the responses was a pleasure, and went a far way in showing why this house isn't to be underestimated or passed off, even if it did produce the later-vampire Mr. Diggory.

Flying Away! Here comes Ravenclaw.

So, this is the clever house, and from the books, one of the more... interesting houses, producing two villains, a hated character, and a beloved heroine as well. If nothing else, it is a complex house, and this definitely seems to carry over to the members of the house on Pottermore as well.

Disappointments: Fumos You

Fumos is the new spell on Pottermore, released as part of Snape's birthday... I want to call it a celebration but it was much sadder, more like a whimper than a bang. Anyways, rant after the break.

Here Come the Lions

First of my featured houses from the survey responses, is GRYFFINDOR! Now I think every Potter fan knows Gryffindor well. Daresay, that is why the house has perhaps the shortest (and most underwhelming) welcome letter from good old Percy. Though that may just be Percy's fault more than anything else.

But to have a better idea of the house, to make up for Percy's shortcomings, here are the words, paraphrased, of some of the members of Gryffindor, to welcome any that join them.
