Here Come the Lions

First of my featured houses from the survey responses, is GRYFFINDOR! Now I think every Potter fan knows Gryffindor well. Daresay, that is why the house has perhaps the shortest (and most underwhelming) welcome letter from good old Percy. Though that may just be Percy's fault more than anything else.

But to have a better idea of the house, to make up for Percy's shortcomings, here are the words, paraphrased, of some of the members of Gryffindor, to welcome any that join them.
First we go to leaders, and who the prefects and heads of house may be, and upon being asked, while
The more you put into the red, the better off you are!
there were a few individuals that stated something along the lines of "there are no real leaders" others mentioned BlueJuvenal Rune Echo, or Wolf WildSparks and Cloak Flame as potential leaders in the house. When asked what, makes a person a leader in Gryffindor, it was generally conceeded that experience in dueling and potions was a necessity, as house points were a big factor. In addition, helping newbies also opened a path, but given the tremendous focus on house points, to which an individual stated it may function occasionally as a "get out of trouble" function, I would have to say that it appears that house points, and the experience that comes with earning them all, takes a person from being a student to a professor in terms of respect.

So that leads us to our next topic, of interhouse cooperation. This would include things such as working with other houses to remedy cheating, glitches, and the like, and the lions seemed to agree that among older members, it's readily seen. Interestingly enough, there was an enormous weight put on fairplay with some answers, while another claimed that it wasn't as applicable to newer members. To this, a different person stated that Gryffindor tends not to get strongly involved with other houses. Though if I had to speculate on why this may be, it could be that as Pottermore has been settling, and cheating has, become scarce on the site, Gryffindor has shifted focus back to the common rooms and in-house groups.

Yes, he's welcome too.
So what about those in-house groups and new users? It appears that for the most part, lions do want to include those new users, so long as they cut down on the role play and earn some points. They do try and give help to the new users as they try, but when the common room was a place for them to achieve that, some did not bother because common rooms were an unbearable mess at the time. With that, the groups that formed were deemed as very welcoming in the house, and fairly inclusive, with little deviation among the respondants.

And as a final word, the responding lions wanted to tell any new users that they were strong on fair play, to earn some points for once, they were simply the best, and that their daring, nerve, and chivarly sets them apart from the other houses.

So Gryffindors? Do you think the responses framed above are correct? Do you think someone else is deserving of a head of house role? Did I not include your thoughts to your house? If so, share your thoughts below, and join us next time as we discuss the cleverest, and perhaps strangest house, Ravenclaw, and if your house hasn't been written about yet, post your thoughts here to be included in the next posting.
