Badger, Badger, HUFFLEPUFF!

Oh poor, poor Hufflepuff. To be honest, this is one of my favorite houses, because of how well... shoddy it's treated. Just reading through the responses was a pleasure, and went a far way in showing why this house isn't to be underestimated or passed off, even if it did produce the later-vampire Mr. Diggory.

From unknown deviant art.
This is how Puff Leadership works.
So, let's go straight to leadership! Remarkably, this house's leaders were all mostly unknown to myself, and it's a bit of a refreshing change, with leadership positions being held by KeyHallow4703 (Twin Sister), EchoMidnight7222 (Sunny), Rosebud, VineRose, and Aegis, prior to a retirement. And what makes these people leaders? NOT house points. Instead, kindness, cordiality, and the amount that they help others, in giving advice and helping, are what demonstrated their position in the house. Certain emphasis was placed on kindness and helping others, and it certainly carried over.

When it came to working with other houses, it was mostly agreed upon that Hufflepuff does it, with Thornwing26124 stating that Hufflepuff knits all the other houses together, and the fact that a few of the respondants prided themselves on helping every house certainly goes to show that Hufflepuff's emphasis on kindness and being fair is certainly not misplaced based on the answers. Though for other houses, do not take this as an invitation to walk over the badgers, as one quallified it as "so long as they respect us" so take heed, and remember that the badger's aid is not automatic, but in part earned.

This carries on as Hufflepuffs state that they help new members the best that they can, with some after comments were removed find the new users, friend them, and provide small gifts for jobs well done, and keep them supplied for their exploits. Most said that it was very welcome, though in-house groups were less inclusive, being closer to moderate on a whole.

And what do these fine witches and wizards want to let any new member know?
Don't forget, Tonks was Hufflepuff!
-It is really like all the houses here. Made up of real people, with real experiences and not set into "molds" created by preconcieved opinions of each other, or even themselves, of what the books portray the houses to be. Be yourself and not fall into peer pressure or fall prey to snide remarks made by those of lesser bearing or simply trolls- Catwizard6488 Okie
-Hufflepuff, People snuff
but hufflepuffs are really tough
You think Helga took the rest?
Not true she took the very best!-Wings
-Badgers are extremely loyal, and loyal to anyone that we become close to regardless of house politics. We are, for the most part, a lively and Happy bunch... Always looking for fun in situations-Vinerose682
-Hufflepuff knits all the other houses together. We are a community of people who are kind, strong, loyal, and brave. We are accepting of everyone. We delight in friendship and harmony. Despite the risible misconception that we are a houe full of rejected, party loving, lacidasical, illiterate hippies; we press onward with determination to embody a house that is "singularly gifted, uncommonly kind, and sees the beauty in others, even, and perhaps most especially, when that person cannot see it in themselves." Thornwing26124

And finally, the other respondants wanted to stress that they are NOT the left over house, but good people, valuing honesty and openness, and to remember that they may be the underdog in almost every regard, people always love an underdog.

And with that, I'd like to sign off, and say that later on today, we're going to cover, the winners of this house cup: Slytherin.
