Spoilers images abound

SPOILERS BELOW FOR RECENT ADDITIONS AND UPDATES

Now we see the count was off with one more moment than anticipated with the moment in chapter 9, Half Blood Prince. Now I am pleasantly surprised to have gotten this one wrong, as that means NEW POTION BOOK/SPELL BOOK is more likely (Sectumsempra is a favorite spell of mine, though I know it is less likely to be used in dueling). And like the last it will be a one shot  and done. Looking at possible locations of content six will have two with Draco and the ghost plot of Fortescue. For others not yet confirmed we have the moment with the cup.

Furthermore we have these:

All are related to potions, with one being a new badge, and the other being a new potion that we will presumably have to brew to earn the badge. However, this is another part 1/ Part 2 potion like polyjuice potion. We also have Shrinking Solution which is similarly a 2 parter.

UPDATE:
So what's with the whole book of potions thing? Well, it's simple.... if you have it in your trunk, you'll see it is now called the FORWARD for the book, as in not the whole book. This means it is probably collectable in Chapter 9. Apparently it will be a purchase.

More images will be added to this post in time, but are you exited? Share your thoughts below!

  1. "Carrots" to the duelers and brewers, possibly to smoke-screen the fact that they again took a 'get it over with" approach to releasing the chapters. 4 Chapters were missing from GoF, then 71% of the book missing from OotP, and now 60% of HBP magicked away (pardon the pun). And they wonder why die-hard Potter/Pottermore fans are becoming increasingly disenchanted with the site.

But we can role play, discuss Dr Who or New Direction or act out sexual fantasies. Get reported for daring to mention anything Harry Potter or Pottermore related. Somehow, I think I must have gotten on the wrong train in between stations (chapter releases).

    1. No anon, you're kind of right there. The problem is, going back to the survey, that we did ask for shorter gaps in time, as the releases being few and far between were rather annoying. That and depending on who filled out the survey, they may have laxed things out for the sexual fantasies.

The core problem is that Pottermore still hasn't fundamentally changed in any way, and we need something to properly establish a meta game and a counter-meta that we can cycle through. We need strategy and a way to anticipate people, rather than brute force.

  2. I don't mind using my name, Okie or CatWizard6468, but didn't quite understand the "profile" options needed to post.

As for the bupkis survey, that was nothing more than a masked attempt to build sales demographics. Very few of the questions posed had to do with what we might desire of the site or how we used the site.

    1. Okie it's fine. As for the survey, it was a decent move and makes sense, as Pottermore needs to make money somehow (everyone has to eat after all) and ebooks is unfortunately small market, to compare, if you had a bookstore that only carried 14 products (because the shop is, to my recollection region locked) you would have few, if any return customers, and each person would spend the total of those 14 products and likely not much more, unless buying it as a gift for another. This is a HUGE problem from a market standpoint and as it's clear that Pottermore will have no pay to play... it's a possible cause of the smaller updates we've been seeing.

  3. Very excited. Any idea when? Points for brewing the new potions? Any news on Needlework? Love your posts.

  4. Thank you Ralph! To answer
    1) Potions seem likely to come out tomorrow
    2) I tried to find the points but if I had to give a guess, part 1 of the potions may be worth 0, while part 2 will be worth 20-30 points, though this could be more depending on how long it takes (assuming this won't be like polyjuice)
    3) Needlework I found the code for it, or rather remnants on the moment in dumbledore's study, but no news on it otherwise, nor do I think I could "glitch" the collection

  5. I came across your blog a few days ago. Thanks for the awesome heads up on future Moments! I love reading your thoughts about Pottermore :) Keep your fingers crossed for more eventual OOTP chapters (and the ones they already skipped in HBP!)
