Hogwarts and Halloween

This was mentioned in part by Pottermore, so I thought I'd bring it up.... Witches and Wizards on Halloween. This was always a feast at Hogwarts, but why? And how did most witches and wizards celebrate before the measure was taken to curtail it?

Why the Badger? Looking at Hufflepuff's House Animal.

"What is a Hufflepuff?" While some people may say it would be quite the good finder, the answer is "a badger." The house is defined by loyalty to friends and family, willingness to take anyone in that doesn't belong and general friendliness. So, with all that in mind... why a badger?

Potter's Possibility at Universal

So, I'd like to say this. Universal Studios does Halloween REALLY, REALLY well. They know how to make a maze, and they know how to do horror and gore. Potter itself is a franchise filled with possible terrors and scares, with obvious players being death eaters, dark wizards, Fenir Greyback, giants, the spiders, dementors... the list can go on.

So why, after two years, has this combination of talents happened?

Thoughts on New chapters... (Spoilers)

User Invention: How Users Adapt

People are smart. Surprisingly so at times, given what can be a restraint on them, but I think it goes to show how the individuals that lead the user groups on Pottermore have in talent, and what common users have in regards to our shared human instinct, to make things easier for ourselves in obtaining our goals, so for today's post, I'll be blathering a bit about user inventions, focusing on four things users had created and how that may continue.

Salem and the Wizarding World.

Salem is an interesting note to mention for a few reasons in the Wizarding World, and as such, I thought I'd give a bit of head cannon thought, as I don't think Rowling will address it any time soon, though we do know there is a wizarding institute in Salem.

Meh.... Okay, okay. I KNOW that it seems like an odd response to the new chapters. It kinda is. But here's the problem: it didn't add much.

Why an Eagle? Looking at why Ravenclaw isn't a Raven.

Now this is one that die-hard Potter fans know well... the house animal for Ravenclaw is an Eagle. But why not the Raven? Well, we'll look into that a bit here... so read on after the break for a bit of insight!

Pottermore Point Conundrum
